Jack Link’s® Beef Jerky Announces Agreement To Acquire Underwood, Iowa Warehouse Facility

Acquisition provides increased distribution center capacity to meet growing demand.

Minong, Wis. (Oct. 21, 2011) — Jack Link’s® Beef Jerky, the No. 1 U.S. meat snack brand, announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire a distribution facility located in Underwood, Iowa from The Oriental Trading Company, a direct merchant of party supplies, small toys and novelties. The transaction is expected to close by the end of November, subject to customary closing conditions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition to shipping, receiving and product merchandising support, the acquisition will increase Jack Link’s distribution center and warehouse capacities, further positioning the brand for future growth.

“The Underwood facility will complement our existing distribution operations in nearby Laurens, Iowa, allowing us to meet increasing customer demand,” said Karl Paepke, executive vice president - supply chain, Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. “We’re pleased with the addition of this facility to our supply network and look forward to developing a world class distribution team and becoming a part of the Underwood business community.”

Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) have announced the signing of a new multi-year agreement. Under terms of the pact, Jack Link’s will continue to serve as the presenting sponsor of the world’s longest-running, richest and most prestigious poker tournament.

Las Vegas & Minong, Wis. (Nov. 3, 2010) — Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) have announced the signing of a new multi-year agreement. Under terms of the pact, Jack Link’s will continue to serve as the presenting sponsor of the world’s longest-running, richest and most prestigious poker tournament.

The tournament will continue to be known as the World Series of Poker Presented by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky.

The first two years of the sponsorship were filled with excitement — from the elusive Sasquatch grunting “Shuffle Up and Deal!” to open the 2009 tournament, to the introduction of the in-game feature “Stacked Jacks Go Wild,” a new favorite amongst tournament players and Jack Link’s fans,  to the humorous ESPN broadcast vignettes featuring Sasquatch in a series of unexpected WSOP situations (visit www.JackLinks.com to view) — and the memorable moments and poker-themed antics will continue.

Jack Link’s new multi-year deal begins at the 42nd Annual World Series of Poker Presented by Jack Link’s slated to get underway at the Rio® All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on May 30, 2011 and extends through November 2012. The WSOP sponsorship is one of the most significant event partnerships for the Jack Link’s brand.
