The woods to riches story of Jack Link’s Beef Jerky is an American classic…an immigrant travels West in search of opportunity, carrying with him his family’s treasured sausage and jerky recipes.  He settles in the rugged Midwest, where a three-generation tradition in the meat business begins.  One day, the great-grandson decides to try out those original family recipes …they were good.  Very good.  Word spreads, a family’s passion changes the face of snacking, and the rest, they say, is history.
