Jack Link’s Jerky April 2022 Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.  ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.

1. Eligibility: The Jack Link’s Jerky April 2022 Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age and older. Proof of age and identity must be furnished upon request. Employees, agents, independent dealers and affiliates of Sponsor (identified below) and its agents, affiliates and immediate family members of all such persons, are not eligible to participate in sweepstakes.  Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or amend this sweepstakes at any time for any reason.  Sponsor further reserves the right to amend these sweepstakes rules at any time without prior notice, at its sole discretion.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant for any reason, including, but not limited to, violation of these Official Rules, copyright infringement or infringement of the rights of a third-party.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or any other platform. You understand that you are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Facebook or any other platform.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Sponsor, as final and binding as it relates to the content and Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

3. Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on April 20, 2022 at 7:00 AM CST and ending on April 23, 2022 at 11:59 PM CST. All online entries must be received by April 23, 2022 at 11:59PM CST.

4. How to Enter: To enter this Sweepstakes, participants are asked to: (i) comment with the hashtag #FeedYourWildSideSweeps. Comment as many times (uniquely) as you want to increase your chance of winning.

By submitting an entry, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Persons submitting incomplete entries or entries under false pretenses will be disqualified.  Duplicate entries from the same email address/person/household will be automatically eliminated without notice to the participant. Sponsor is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind.

5. Prize: There will be ten (10) winners who will receive one (1) American Apparel Non-Vegan T-Shirt and one (1) 5.85oz bag of Jack Link’s Original Beef Jerky. The estimated value of the prize is $28.00. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner and the person the winner chooses for the second subscription. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner selection and notification: The winner of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor on April 25, 2022. The winner will be notified via direct message (DM) within five (5) days following the winner selection. Sponsor shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to any reason. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within fifteen (15) days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases, as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. To accept and receive the prize, the winner and the recipient of their choice must:  a) provide personal and contact information to Sponsor, including proof of age, full name and address, and if necessary for tax purposes, their social security number; b) if required by the IRS, both the winner and the recipient of their choice must complete and return a W-9; and c) execute any other documents specified by Sponsor, in their sole discretion, by the deadlines specified. 

The receipt by winner of the prize offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by you: By entering this content you understand that Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of Sponsor, or its respective licensees, successors and assigns will have the right, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the World, your entry, including, without limitation, the entry and winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements about the Sweepstakes, and biographical information as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation.

9. Terms: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should (in its sole discretion) a civil, environmental, or public health emergency,, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website or violates these Official Rules.

Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability: You agree to release and hold Sponsor, its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors (the “Released Parties”), harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Released Parties are not responsible for errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Sweepstakes-related materials. In addition, by participating in this Sweepstakes you agree to a complete release of Facebook of any claims.

11. Disputes: This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
