WHAT PRODUCTS DOES JACK LINK'S MAKE?

How much time do you have? Kidding. We produce high-quality, great-tasting meat snacks made from lean cuts of 100% beef, turkey, chicken or pork, with flavors ranging from savory to sweet to spicy and everything in between. Visit the shop section of our site to see the full bounty.

WHERE ELSE CAN I FIND JACK LINK'S PRODUCTS?

Jack Link's meat snacks are available in grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, large retailers and select home improvement and sporting goods stores nationwide. While we have a wide variety of products available in our online store, not all retailers carry the entire product line. That would be impossible.

So, if there's a store that carries our products, but not the particular variety you're looking for, be a squeaky wheel. Speak with a manager and ask if they'd consider carrying the Jack Link's snacks you're craving.

WHERE DOES YOUR MEAT COME FROM?

We partner with USDA-approved vendors to source the finest cuts of beef, pork, chicken and turkey that meet Jack Link's high standards for product quality and food safety. You can find a complete listing on their website.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS HALAL OR KOSHER?

Halal and Kosher certification is product/ingredient-specific and can vary depending on the location of the product/ingredient source. For products sold in the United States and Canada, the products are not certified Halal or Kosher. Outside the United States and Canada, the best way to find if a Jack Link's product is Halal or Kosher is to check the back of the package.

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS PACKAGED?

The majority of our products sold in the United States and Canada are packaged in one of our four upper-Midwest facilities: Alpena, South Dakota; Mankato, Minnesota; Minong, Wisconsin; New Glarus, Wisconsin.

We also sell products manufactured and packaged in our facilities in New Zealand.

DO YOU ONLY MAKE MEAT PRODUCTS?

Nope. Thanks for asking. Check out our Wild Side merchandise store for some fun vegetarian options like t-shirts, hats and fine china.

WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR NUTRITIONAL INFO?

Nutritional information can always be found on the back of each product package. For products sold on JackLinks.com, you can find nutritional information on our Nutrition Facts page. If the product you're looking for is not shown on our site, feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to help you.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN-FREE?

All of the products that are gluten-free are clearly marked with a designation on the package. Our products labeled as "gluten-free" undergo ingredient review, special production procedures and safeguards to ensure compliance.

IS THERE MSG IN YOUR PRODUCTS?

MSG is a flavor enhancer that is used in some products to give them a more savory, mouth-watering flavor. All of our products that contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) are clearly labeled, as required by law. MSG is not allowed to be listed under "flavorings" or "spices" so it will always be clearly listed as "monosodium glutamate" on the label.

WHAT DOES NO ADDED MSG MEAN?

Many products claim "no added MSG" due to the consumer demand for products without MSG. This claim means that we have not added MSG into the food. It is important to remember that there may be naturally occurring glutamates in the food even if it has a "no added MSG" claim. If that is the case, the claim is followed by the list of ingredients that are a natural source of glutamates.

ARE THERE NITRITES IN YOUR PRODUCTS?

We acknowledge consumer preferences for no artificial sources of nitrites, such as sodium nitrite, and have spent the last decade replacing them with natural forms such as celery juice. Nitrites and their natural plant-based alternatives are added for several reasons. They help with flavor development and color retention when added to cured meats. But, the most important reason is food safety. Nitrites are an effective component in preventing the growth of bacteria that cause food borne illnesses.

WHAT ALLERGENS ARE LABELED ON THE PACKAGE?

Our products are labeled in compliance with government regulations. We recognize the nine major allergens – eggs, fish, crustacean/shellfish, milk, peanuts, soy, tree nuts, wheat, and sesame – and they will be listed in the ingredient statement found on the package label. The best way to obtain allergen information is to check the ingredient statement on the package before consuming the product.

Food Safety

WHAT DOES THE "BEST BY DATE" MEAN?

The best by date printed on our packaging is the date we know the product will still be as fresh as the day it was packaged. We cannot guarantee the optimal quality of any of our products after the best by date (or more than three days after the package is opened). Simply put, we don't recommend consuming any product after the date listed on the package.

DO YOUR PRODUCTS HAVE TO BE REFRIGERATED OR FROZEN?

If the package has not been opened, Jack Link's products will remain fresh without refrigeration. Once the package has been opened, be sure to refrigerate or eat within three days.

We advise against freezing the meat snacks as they won't provide an optimal snacking experience. Sure, they're still perfectly fit for consumption, but their texture and taste can change (rarely for the better).

WHAT'S THE SMALL WHITE PACKET IN MY JERKY BAG?

It's not a prize or a bonus snack. The small white package that is clearly labeled "Do Not Eat" is an FDA-approved oxygen absorber that helps to preserve freshness.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY JERKY HAS MOLDED?

Each bag that leaves our facilities is checked by our quality team and stamped with our Jack Link's Guarantee seal. If the jerky is somehow exposed to oxygen throughout the transportation or shelving process, it could result in mold.

Sorry, we don't offer tours of any of our plants or facilities. However, we do have several opportunities for you to experience Jack Link's: Visit our Wild Side retail stores in Minneapolis, MN and Jean, NV. They're full of delicious Jack Link's products as well as t-shirts, hats and other fun merchandise.
