Judnick Motorsports 22′ Season Highlights
3 months. 16 total racing rounds. Here’s how the 2022 Judnick Motorsports team spent their season.
Opening Weekend – January 7/8 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee MN
The riders left the first race of the season with several victories.
- Pro Lite rider Carson Alread picked up where he left off last season and secured a 3rd place finish on Friday, leading the majority of the race. This round gave Alread his sixth Pro Lite podium finish to date
- Judnick’s first racing event ended with fearless Pro Swedish rider Emil Harr finishing in 3rd on Friday night 2nd on Saturday night
Weekend Two – January 14/15 at the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series in Dubuque, IA
This race weekend was one-of-a-kind.
- The main track was filled with crazy sharp turns which made passing other riders a headache – but despite the hardship, Harr powered through and passed enough riders to score 2nd place, adding to his streak of podium finishes
- Alread was recovering from illness over the past week, but that didn’t stop him. After some needed rest, he kept his energy steady, and made his way to 8th place after being outside of the top 10
Weekend Three – February 4/5 at the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series in Fargo, ND
Judnick had an eventful time in Fargo this weekend.
- On the first day of the race, both Harr and Alread battled it out and ended up both placing 2nd and 3rd in the race’s two qualifying rounds
- Once it came time for the Pro final, Harr fell off his sled and could not get back in the top ten. He placed 13th and took it like a pro
- On Saturday, Alread couldn’t compete, but Harr worked his way through the surrounding crowd of other racers and placed with an impressive 4th place run
Weekend Four – February 18/19 at the Amsoil Championship Snocross Series in Salamanca, NY
The halfway point of the season. New York race fans were in full spirits and the track featured a brand-new design.
- Harr had to dodge some bumps in the road. He started in the top ten and sped his way up to 7th. He stayed there for the rest of the race, which left him falling short of another top five finish
- Alread worked his way up during the first qualifier race, cruising all the way from 5th to 2nd. Alread was phenomenal out there, but he couldn’t finish the next qualifier due to being tangled with another rider
- The next day of the competition, Harr made it to a 6th place finish overall, strategically working his way through the pack of racers
- Alread was presented with a similar series of events. His first qualifier ended in a solid 3rd place finish, but he came off on his second. He also ended up dislocating his shoulder, which left him on the sidelines
Weekend 5 – March 4/5 is where the second half of the season begins in Deadwood, SD
The next stop on the tour: an infamous bullring-style track near the Black Hills.
- Harr gave it his all and struck gold by leading all 28 laps of the race from start to finish, securing the first pro win of his career during Friday’s final
Weekend 6 – March 11/12 at the 2022 Amsoil Championship Snocross Tour at ERX Motor Park, home track for Klim/JL and Polaris riders
Going back to the home track.
- After going head-to-head with the top three riders throughout the entire race, Harr persevered and finished strongly in second place, making it the sixth podium finish of his career
- The next day of the race was difficult, but Harr remained focused. He had his work cut out for him as he was placed 13th at the starting line. With every lap, he tried to make strategic passes around the track and managed to score himself a fifth-place spot. These consistent finishes maintain his top 3 position in the pro points chase
- Alread attempted to make his return to racing and found success in his qualifying rounds, however he unfortunately dislocated his shoulder again in the final resulting in a torn labrum. This ended Alreads season prematurely as he geared up to undergo surgery to fix his shoulder in the spring.
Weekend 7 – March 19/20 at the Amsoil Championship Snocross Tour in Lake Geneva, WI.
The team is back after a two-week hiatus.
- Harr started the Pro Final from the back row and managed to get to the top ten. But there’s more. He picked off riders during each lap, then confidently got himself to the top five. Then, after fighting neck-and-neck with several other riders, he scored himself a 2nd place finish on Saturday night
- Carrying momentum from the previous night’s successes, Harr found himself back on the podium in Sunday’s final with another 2nd place finish, making it a double podium weekend for the team
Weekend 8 – March 25/26 is when the 2022 National Tour came to an end at the Cannonsburg Ski Area for the Grand Finale in Michigan
The team had high hopes heading into the weekend with Harr sitting solid in second place in the points chase. However, chaos ensued soon after.
- There was an incident with another rider that broke some bones in Harr’s hand. Unfortunately, Harr was not able to compete on Sunday. However, he did take starts to attempt to pick up as many points as possible. Despite the grueling weekend, Harr finished 4th overall in the Pro Points Chase
Partnering with the Judnick Motorsports team has been anything but ordinary. We’re happy to help fuel these riders even though they already know how to keep up the pace. According to Scott Judnick, the riders truly gave it their all and it showed. It was this team’s best year yet and they can’t wait for the approaching 2023 season where they’ll come back even stronger.
